DIFFERENT
USES OF THE ZENER
Beyond that according to stabilizing element of voltage, the diode zener can be used pure with other tasks. As an example, two diode zener, connect in "anti-series", as it happens in the circuit of figure 10, compose "a chopper" device of sinusoidal waves.

Two
elements DZ1 - DZ2, mounts to you in opposition, shears before the semi wave
positive and endured after that negative, stabilizing moreover
the alternated voltage applied to entrance VCA. An
other use of the diode zener is that illustrating in the
outline of figure 11, in which DZ polarizes the electronic V1
through its cathode. We can add that this system comes practiced in the
construction of the linear amplifiers of power to radio frequency.

Fig. 12 - The diode zener can be connect in series between they, but never in parallel. In the connection in series, the stabilized voltage is equal to the sum of the voltages of the single ones zener. In
such case the voltage stabilized in escape VU is equal to the sum of the
voltages of zener of the diode that compose the connection in
series. As an example, if to the three diode of the outline of
figure 12 they come attributed the values of voltage of 9 V - 3 V - 5 V,
voltage VU in escape assumes the largeness of: VU
= DZ1+DZ2+DZ3=9V+3V+SV = 17V
The
power total, instead, is equal to that one of the zener of minor
multiplied power, in this case, for three. It
is not absolutely possible to connect in parallel between they the diode
zener, not even when they introduce the same characteristics
electrical workers. |
