ZENER DIODE LIKE VOLTAGE STABILIZERS

 

Even if with the experiments previously described it has been demonstrated that the semiconductor diode  is behaved from stabilizing element of voltage, in practical, in order to carry out this important function, reruns to one special diode , purposely conceived, called diode  zener. Which it comes constructed with an intrinsic voltage of job, that it is that typical one of stabilization.
As an example: 2,7 V - 3,3 V - 4,7 V, 6v-6,1v-7,2v-9,1v-10v and therefore via in a range of values that extends from 0,78 V to 20V approximately.

The zone, instead, in which the diode  it can calmly work, without auto ­ destroying, assumes the name of zone of breakdown . We conclude asserting, once again, that the diode  zener must inversely be polarized and that it does not lead current until the voltage applied to its electrodes is inferior to that one of job.
